While working at Shopify, I had conversations with many merchants who were struggling to entice traffic to their website. They asked for advice on how to improve the SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) on their websites, which they knew in turn would help wth traffic numbers 🚗
The first thing I did in all of these interactions, was just Google their business name. And 99% of the time, there would be at least one other business with the exact same name claiming the first spot, and their business would be nowhere to be found!
Please, please, please check to see if anyone else has claimed your desired business name before registering, buying domains, or conducting marketing. This really quick search can save you so much time in future, and means your business will always appear on that crucial first page of any search engine 🔎
